I am sick and tired of the attacks coming from the new congressional and executive leadership against law abiding citizens simply because of their faith or the values they hold. The Department of Homeland Security's (DHS) efforts to label you and me as "extremists" and "terror threats" are outrageous.
I just requested a free "Right-wing Extremist" wallet card as my way of turning the tables on misguided DHS attempts to marginalize us and label us as extremists. If it is "extreme" to hold pro-life, pro-veteran, or pro-Second Amendment views, then I wear the term "Right-wing Extremist" as a badge of honor! If you would like to receive a free card, go here:

Bob, I know you'll probably delete this, but they were never talking about you.
They were talking about the guy who just killed Doctor Tiller.
And they were talking about the 88-year old white supremicist who just shot and killed a guard at the DC Holocaust Memorial.
They never said conservatives or republicans were extremists. Don't believe Malkin and the rest.
Unless you really want to be in the same boat as Tiller's Murderer and the White Supremacist Murderer from today?
Somehow I doubt that.
There are extremists on both sides, and our government is right to be watching for them.

The criminals that killed Doctor Tiller and the guard at the DC Holocaust Memorial are just that, criminals. The law should deal with them appropriately. Those that commit criminal acts in the name of their "cause", regardless of what it is, certainly DO NOT have my support.
I'm not sure that you've read the DHS report (http://www.fas.org/irp/eprint/rightwing.pdf). The problems start as soon as the bottom of page 2:
"The possible passage of new restrictions on firearms ..."
...
"Rightwing extremism in the United States can be broadly divided into those groups, movements, and
adherents that are primarily hate-oriented (based on hatred of particular religious, racial or ethnic groups),
and those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or
rejecting government authority entirely. It may include groups and individuals that are dedicated to a
single issue, such as opposition to abortion or immigration."
Here's what I get from that paragraph and the rest of the document:
1. Those that favor limited government (like me) are considered "Rightwing extremists".
2. Those that oppose government sanctioning of abortion (like me) are considered "Rightwing extremists".
3. Those that oppose illegal immigration (like me) are considered "Rightwing extremists".
4. Those that support all of the amendments to the constitution, including the second amendment, (like me) are considered "Rightwing extremists".
Are these not overly broad and potentially involve a majority of US citizens?
In reaction to significant public outcry, the current administration may be trying to down play this report. They may be saying that they are only targeting those about to commit acts of crime and violence, but, nowhere is the report is this said. The after the fact "spin" has little relevance.
Here's a famous quote from Thomas Jefferson:
"The strongest reason for the people to retain the right to keep and bear arms is, as a last resort, to protect themselves against tyranny in government."
This is a great country, let's solve the "tyranny in government" before we reach our "last resort"! If that makes me a "Right-wing Extremist", then so be it.
