San Francisco Mayor Gavin Newsom is launching an $83,000
outreach campaign designed to attract illegal aliens.

      Using television, radio, posters and brochures
      in five different languages, Newsom says, "We're
      going to spend resources, time and energy to do
      PSA's, to do campaign outreach into community clinics,
      into public schools, into our police stations to
      let people know what a sanctuary city is all about...

Newsom says illegal aliens answering his call need not fear
deportation. "We are doing the right thing," he said.

Robert, this arrogant thumbing of the nose by SF City
officials to the established laws of our land and the blatant
disrespect for those citizens who will be required to foot
the bill for these illegals is reprehensible, and demands
a strong reaction!

I read today that you are undertaking an effort to turn San Francisco into a "Sanctuary City" for illegal aliens.

It's sad to learn that yet another government official is ignoring the rule of law in support of illegal aliens. I have to wonder "what's in it for you"? Given the exceptionally high costs involved, and the strain on law enforcement that this causes, you would have to be getting something in return.

I'm glad to hear that you have gone public with this. That way the law abiding citizens of you city can "get out" before their property values drop so low that they can't afford to leave. I'm sure that they will, given that they will have no interest in funding your illegal activities. The most "well to do" citizens (the ones that pay the highest taxes!) will be the first to go, as they typically have the most liquidity. As time continues, more and more tax payers will leave for other cities that follow the rule of law. Eventually, San Francisco will suffer the same fate as Detroit, MI, and be only a skeleton of what it once was. In the end, only the criminals will remain, of course, that includes the members of government that thought this was the "right thing".

My final question to you: Should this be a country in which every person learns to work, every person learns to save, every person learns to have a better future, and, by the way, is therefore responsible for working, saving, and creating a better future? Or is this a country where you shouldn't have to do all those things because it's too hard, and someone should take care of you? In which case, the question becomes: who's the someone, and why do you think they'll stay here?

again inflating its numbers of the amount of border fence that

And progress has slowed to a crawl. Since last September, DHS
has only built 6 miles of pedestrian fence and 35 miles of vehicle
barriers. And their "virtual" fence test was a total failure.

So with the "sunset" clause set to go into effect in just nine
months, it is clear that DHS is doing nothing more than playing
games and juggling numbers. Even worse, DHS is counting so-called
"vehicle barriers" for half of its claimed progress. Just one
problem -- illegal aliens can walk right through the vehicle barriers!

The clock is ticking and you and I must do all we can to restore
the Secure Fence Act.

What if 20 Million Illegal Aliens Vacated America?

Tina Griego, journalist for the Denver Rocky Mountain News wrote a column titled, 'Mexican Visitor's Lament' -- 10/25/07.

She interviewed Mexican journalist Evangelina Hernandez while visiting Denver last week. Hernandez said, 'They (illegal aliens) pay rent, buy groceries, buy clothes... What Happens to your country's economy if 20 million people go away?' That's a good question - it deserves an answer. Over 80 percent of Americans demand secured borders and illegal migration stopped. But what would happen if all 20 million or more vacated America? The answers may surprise you!

In California, if 3.5 million illegal aliens moved back to Mexico, it would leave an extra $102 billion to spend on overloaded school systems, bankrupt hospitals and overrun prisons. It would leave highways cleaner, safer and less congested. Everyone could understand one another as English became the dominant language again.

In Colorado, 500,000 illegal migrants, plus their 300,000 kids and grand-kids - would move back 'home', mostly to Mexico. That would save Coloradans an estimated $2 billion (other experts say $7 billion) annually in taxes that pay for schooling, medical, social-services and incarceration costs. It means 12,000 gang members would vanish out of Denver alone.

Colorado would save more than $20 million in prison costs, and the terror that those 7,300 alien criminals set upon local citizens. Denver Officer Don Young and hundreds of Colorado victims would not have suffered death, accidents, rapes and other crimes by illegals.

Denver Public Schools would not suffer a 67 percent drop-out/flunk-out rate because of thousands of illegal alien students speaking 41 different languages. At least 200,000 vehicles would vanish from our gridlocked cities in Colorado.

Denver's four percent unemployment rate would vanish as our working poor would gain jobs at a living wage.

In Florida, 1.5 million illegals would return the Sunshine State back to America, the rule of law, and English.

In Chicago, Illinois, 2.1 million illegals would free up hospitals, schools, prisons and highways for a safer, cleaner and more crime-free experience.

If 20 million illegal aliens returned 'home' --

If 20 million illegal aliens returned 'home', the U.S. Economy would return to the rule of law. Employers would hire legal American citizens at a living wage. Everyone would pay their fair share of taxes because they wouldn't be working off the books. That would result in an additional $401 Billion in IRS income taxes collected annually, and an equal amount for local, state and city coffers.

No more push '1' for Spanish or '2' for English. No more confusion in American schools that now must contend with over 100 languages that degrade the educational system for American kids. Our overcrowded schools would lose more than two million illegal alien kids at a cost of billions in ESL and free breakfasts and lunches.

We would lose 500,000 illegal criminal alien inmates at a cost of more than $1.6 billion annually. That includes 15,000 MS-13 gang members who distribute $130 billion in drugs annually would vacate our country.

In cities like L.A., 20,000 members of the '18th Street Gang' would vanish from our nation. No more Mexican forgery gangs for ID theft from Americans! No more foreign rapists and child molesters!

Losing more than 20 million people would clear up our crowded highways and gridlock. Cleaner air and less drinking and driving American deaths by illegal aliens!

America's economy is drained. Taxpayers are harmed. Employers get rich. Over $80 billion annually wouldn't return to the aliens' home countries by cash transfers. Illegal migrants earned half that money untaxed, which further drains America's economy - which currently suffers an $8.7 trillion debt.

At least 400,000 anchor babies would not be born in our country, costing us $109 billion per year per cycle. At least 86 hospitals in California, Georgia and Florida would still be operating instead of being bankrupt out of existence because illegals pay nothing via the EMTOLA Act.

Americans wouldn't suffer thousands of TB and hepatitis cases rampant in our country-brought in by illegals unscreened at our borders.

Our cities would see 20 million less people driving, polluting and grid locking our cities. It would also put the 'progressives' on the horns of a dilemma; illegal aliens and their families cause 11 percent of our greenhouse gases.

Over one million of Mexico's poorest citizens now live inside and along our border from Brownsville, Texas to San Diego, California in what the New York Times called, 'colonias' or new neighborhoods. Trouble is, those living areas resemble Bombay and Calcutta where grinding poverty, filth, diseases, drugs, crimes, no sanitation and worse. They live without sewage, clean water, streets, electricity, roads or any kind of sanitation. The New York Times reported them to be America's new 'Third World' inside our own country. Within 20 years, at their current growth rate, they expect 20 million residents of those colonias. (I've seen them personally in Texas and Arizona; it's sickening beyond anything you can imagine.) By enforcing our laws, we could repatriate them back to Mexico.

We should invite 20 million aliens to go home, fix their own countries and/or make a better life in Mexico. We already invite a million people into our country legally more than all other countries combined annually. We cannot and must not allow anarchy at our borders, more anarchy within our borders and growing lawlessness at every level in our nation. It's time to stand up for our country, our culture, our civilization and our way of life.

But Rasmussen's poll of the last two days shows Romney ahead with 40% over McCain's 32% (and 12% for Huckabee and 5% for Paul). A McCain loss in California would give a lot of people hope in the remaining Primary states. Anti-amnesty votes should coalesce around Romney for a big news media victory and lots of delegates. COLORADO: Romney should take this from McCain if the anti-amnesty voters stick with him. GEORGIA: According to the latest Insider Advantage poll, McCain at 32% is in a dead heat with Romney at 31% (followed by Huckabee at 26% and Paul at 3%). Georgia is one of the three most aggressive states in trying to drive illegal aliens away. Unless some of Huckabee's and Paul's supporters switch to Romney, the state may send pro-amnesty McCain delegates to the convention. ILLINOIS: The latest SurveyUSA shows McCain at 38% and Romney at 23% (with Huckabee at 25% and Paul at 7%). This is a real long-shot that will require incredible turnout by anti-amnesty voters. MASSACHUSETTS: Make sure Romney takes the delegates of his home state. MONTANA: The winner takes all 25 delegates. NORTH DAKOTA: Romney should be the frontrunner for the anti-amnesty vote here. Tomorrow, Illinois citizens will have the opportunity to go to the polls in what amounts to the first-ever National Primary involving 22 states.

This vote will be a major referendum on the issue of Amnesty, which has been one of the top issues discussed during the primary season.

In essence, tomorrow's vote is an Amnesty vote, just as important as last summer's defeat of the Senate Amnesty Bill.

Every G.O.P. debate has featured immigration. Every time citizens have had an opportunity to pose questions of the candidates, immigration and amnesty have been at the top of the list.

DEAR OPPONENTS OF ILLEGAL IMMIGRATION, Today's polls show John McCain still poised to win a large majority of the delegates on Tuesday ... ... unless the 500,000 of you can reach out to millions of Republican friends, families and acquaintances to correct their incredibly mistaken notion about McCain's immigration positions. The Washington Post/ABC News poll this weekend asked likely Republican voters which candidate, "regardless of who you may support," do you "trust most to handle immigration issues." The answer will shock you: 47% McCain 22% Romney 10% Huckabee 5% Paul This political illiteracy among Republican voters threatens disastrous consequences. Please share this information widely. Some open-borders apologists, such as syndicated columnist Ruben Navarrette, say 47% of Republicans like McCain on immigration because they support McCain's idea that the best way to solve illegal immigration is to make nearly all the illegal aliens into legal residents and U.S. citizens. That is pure wishful thinking on the part of open-borders advocates. Reputable polls for two years have shown that an overhwelming majority of Republicans (and a majority of Independents and Democrats) has opposed every one of McCain's attempts to legalize illegal aliens with an amnesty. I believe that at least half of those 47% Republicans who express confidence in McCain's immigration plans simply don't know the truth. And the truth is exceptionally easy to find out. For two months, McCain answers every immigration question by saying he will "secure the border" and that "I know how to do it." But records of his past actions show that he has repeatedly voted against funding the border fence, against funding more Border Patrol, against expanding interior immigration agents. About the only time McCain has backed more security on the border is when it is tied to giving an amnesty. McCain has held border security hostage for years. He has been willing to work for border security only if Americans pay the "ransom" of giving him an amnesty. But I am willing to accept that McCain is finally serious about securing the border, except that he really hasn't provided a serious, detailed plan for how he will do it. Read McCain's statements in recent interviews to see how terribly the "straight-talker" zig zags to confuse voters about his ultimate plan to grant a gigantic amnesty. McCain laid out his Immigration Plan in radio ads in South Carolina: 1. "Secure the borders." 2. Deport around 2 million illegal aliens who have committed felonies. 3. Treat the other 10-18 million illegal aliens with "compassion" by letting them keep their U.S. residency and their American jobs and eventually become citizens. McCain never expresses compassion for the 23 million working-age Americans without any college who do not currently have a job -- or the millions more Americans whose real wages have stagnated or declined in recent years because their occupations were flooded by foreign labor. Although the nation already has nearly 40 million foreign workers and dependents, McCain has repeatedly said that we need to import even more. During the last two years, he has pushed various bills that would double and triple immigration. Every Republican you know needs to get a copy of this email (and the one I sent Saturday night). So to the point!

President pardons eight drug dealers?

After I heard about this from Grassfire, I sent the following e-mail to the President:

Mr. President,

I understand that you recently pardoned eight drug dealers. That alone
is quite questionable. But at the same time you did not pardon Ramos
and Compean? How exactly does this make sense?

As you know, Ramos and Compean were convicted by the over zealous US
Attorney, Johnny Sutton based on the testimony of Osbaldo
Aldrete-Davila. Osbaldo Aldrete-Davila is drug smuggler that has used
Johnny Sutton's immunity to smuggle drug into our country on multiple
occasions.

Mr. President, please do the right thing by doing the following:
* Pardon Ramos and Compean.
* Call for the recall of Sutton.
* See to the prosecution of Aldrete-Davila.

Anything less and you are giving aid to the enemy!

Dream Amnesty Act vote tomorrow

Now, Durbin and Reid are pushing the Dream Amnesty Act straight to the Senate floor as a stand-alone bill -- S. 2205 -- despite overwhelming grassroots opposition!

But to rush the bill directly to the floor, they must pass a "cloture" vote first.

1. I oppose the DREAM Act because it provides amnesty to illegal aliens and their families.
2. I urge the Senator to vote "NO" on cloture for S. 2205. This amnesty bill should not be brought to the Senate floor.
3. A "yes" vote on cloture will be considered a "yes" vote for amnesty.

We simply cannot allow Reid and Durbin to sneak this bill through the Senate. Thanks for your immediate action.

Banking for Illegal Aliens - Update

To follow up on my previous post, I had an e-mail conversation with the President of Blackhawk Bank. He are some notable quotes from our e-mails:

"One part of the government is strongly encouraging banks to comply with the Community Reinvestment Act by banking the “unbanked”, another euphemism for “illegal aliens.” The FDIC has a whole unit devoted to promoting banking services to illegals and, in fact, sponsors conferences on the subject."

I've done work for banks before. I know what he is saying when he says "strongly encouraging". It basically means he's being forced to give accounts to Illegals. How said is that?

"We file an SAR, a Suspicious Activity Report, on absolutely every ITIN transaction we do with the government which has all the information they need to know who is where. But, as you point out, the government does nothing with the information."

This is probably all that banks are allowed to do.

The moral of the story?

• The FDIC appears to be forcing banks to open accounts for Illegal Aliens.
• The IRS gives out ITIN numbers to anyone in hopes of getting more revenue (at any cost). The IRS does not share information on Illegal Aliens with other government agencies.
  
• We still don't have the fence we were promised. Sign the petition!
• Border Patrol Agents need our support.

Banking for Illegal Aliens

I did a little survey this morning to see how hard it is for Illegal Aliens to get a bank account.

I surveyed three area banks and found that it's quite easy. Here are my results:

• Blackhawk Bank: You need two forms of ID. The Matricular Card is "acceptable" form of ID. They also recommended a state ID or driver's license. Also an ITIN number can be used instead of a SSN. The person I talked to does not think that they report this to the INS.
• Amcore Bank: The Matricular Card and a ITIN number may be all that you need to open an account. When asked about the INS, they seemed to indicate that they don't report Illegals.
• Alpine Bank: You need two forms of ID. The Matricular Card is "acceptable" form of ID. The person I talked to mentioned a number of other items that can serve as the second form of ID, including credit cards. An ITIN number can be used instead of a SSN. When asked about the INS, they stated, "we do all required government reporting".

None of the people I talked with seemed at all bothered about giving bank accounts to Illegal Aliens. It seemed more like they supported the idea than anything else.

Of the above banks, only Blackhawk Bank appears to be seeking customers for their "Immigrant Banking Services". I was not able to find similar pages on the other banks' web sites.


Overall, a bit disturbing, don't you think?
