I ran across the following demand in a "silly disclaimer" today:
"If you have received this communication in error, please notify the sender by reply e-mail, and delete the original message, and all copies, from your system, without reading it" (my emphasis added)
Given that this disclaimer appears at the bottom of the e-mail, how could I have possibly had knowledge of the demands of the disclaimer without having read any of the e-mail? Given this, I can only assume that the author of the disclaimer thinks it's possible to "unread" something. How does that work?
